Thank you for visiting Training For Life.

We are committed to helping you learn how to navigate life's ups and downs by preparing or learning from the Word of God, those who have gone before you, and the Spirit of God. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God provides us with the opportunity to benefit from the power of the Holy Spirit. We want you to learn us to receive and flourish in God's provision during both the good and difficult times of your life.

As Jesus Christ is the Bright Morning Star, He sheds His light on those born again in Him. Wherever the light of God shines, sin (darkness) is exposed and revealed. Therefore, just as light has replaced darkness, wisdom must replace foolishness in your life. In order to accomplish this, you must first be sealed, and then repeatedly filled with the Spirit. Thus by the power of the Spirit, you’ll be able to understand (perform, execute, obey) God’s will for your life and bring it into realization.

Your present sufferings cannot compare to God’s glory (absolute perfection of Christ and blessedness) that can be revealed in you. Your hope in God’s glory must persist even in the midst of life’s afflictions, perplexity, and persecutions. It will take time to train to live a content life that is rewarding, and secure.

Every believer must be ready (prepared) for their inevitable encounter (fight) with evil. Believers must be courageous and stand firm in their faith in Christ, while remaining on constant guard (1 Cor. 16:13). You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you; but you must learn and practice contentment in whatever circumstance you are in (Phil 4:11-13). That will give you the practice and opportunities to grow strong in the Lord to withstand the schemes of the evil one.

God has a way of humbling you to make you hungry, but then will miraculously feed you. This will teach you that you cannot live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord (Deut. 8:3; Matt 4:4; Lk  4:4). Use that hunger for the word of God as your sword in the spiritual battles of life. It has the authority and power to protect you and slay all opposition. This "Training For Life" occurs on a regular, if not daily. Understanding and interpreting the Word of God will give your life the foundation and anchor to navigate the difficult waters or times of life. We are here to encourage you by applying the Word to common life circumstances. Join us.

"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5

"But let him ask if faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind."  James 1:6
